Control cabinets contain the heart and brain of your production. We at Leadec Automation & Engineering develop the conceptual design of your control cabinets for you and manufacture them ourselves. On a 500m² workshop area, we are able to build, inspect and extensively test switchgears, control cabinets, network cabinets and special designs according to your specifications and wishes.

Leadec specializes in the planning of individual control and automation solutions and has in-depth expertise in instrumentation and control (I&C), automation and production IT. Here, the focus is primarily on programming PLC, HMI and SCADA applications. We adhere to the national and international standards in control cabinet fabrication and carry out a factory acceptance test (FAT) for every control cabinet. If required, we are happy to support you in the preparation of circuit diagrams and manufacturing documents (parts lists, technical drawings, documentation, etc.), resulting in a customized overall package.

 

With our tools TERANiS, [LuQ2] and [LuQ2]machine developed in-house, automated manufacturing processes can be planned, controlled, visualized and monitored.

I&C: We create project documents ready for execution as part of basic and detail engineering. We create electrical plans, instrumentation and control cabinets with the latest E-CAD systems such as EPLAN Electric p8 and ELCAD.

Automation: Our engineers are focused on ease of use and high operational reliability: from programming the software for the programmable logic controller (PLC) to the visualization (HMI, SCADA, PLC, DCS).

Technical advice: Leadec creates the control cabinets on a project basis according to customer specifications. In doing so, we adhere to national and international standards.

Production IT: Our team of experts supports you on your way to smart production. We provide advice on all aspects of Industry 4.0 and enable you to use the wealth of data from the Internet of Things (IoT) with comprehensive analyses.

What is a switch cabinet?

A switch cabinet contains the electrical and electronic components of an industrial plant, building, machine or other manufacturing equipment and is used to control technical processes. 

What are advantages of the control cabinet?

The switch cabinet offers the installed electrical engineering/electronics protection against dirt, dust, water and mechanical influences, which can occur in industrial applications or even in infrastructure. Also in the environment it protects against touching dangerous voltages, against fires and is responsible for shielding electromagnetic emissions.  

Where can a control cabinet be used?

A control cabinet is used when the electronic components of a production plant, facility or process plant are not installed directly in the machine or plant. In the industrial environment, this construct is becoming increasingly important due to increasing digitalization.

Which standards are valid for control cabinet construction?

DIN EN 61439 is the current standard for the construction of low-voltage switchgear assemblies. It lists the requirements and verifications and explains how these are to be provided. The standard applies to energy distributors, all switching and control equipment, meter and distribution cabinets for private and commercial buildings.
