Personal data is information which identify a natural person or allow to identify a natural person. Such data especially includes name, birthdate, address, telephone number, e-mail address, but also the IP-address. Anonymous data is present, when a person cannot be identified.

Rights to object against a data processing

Please consider the following concerning the objection rights: Should we process your data for purposes of direct marketing, you are entitled to object against that processing any time and without being required to name any reason. Such would also apply for any case of profiling, if such were related to direct marketing.

 

Should you object against a processing of personal data, we then will no longer process your personal data for such purposes. Exercising the right to objection against data processing is free of charge and does not require to be presented in any particular form, where we ask you to kindly consider addressing it to dataprivacy.DE(at)leadec-services.com.

 

Should we process personal data for purposes of prevailing interest, you are entitled to anytime object against such processing for reasons originating from your particular special situation; such would also apply for a profiling if such was based on these conditions.

 

We then will no longer process your personal data if not we can prove that compulsory reasons worth protection are present and outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or in cases where processing your data serves litigation purposes.

Purposes and legal basis of processing

The requirements of the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act (“BDSG”) and any further legal norms applying are complied with concerning the processing of your personal data. The legal basis for data processing does especially originate from Art. 6 GDPR.


Being a Company specializing in industrial services, we process your data to initiate business relationships, to comply with legal and contractual obligations, to execute contracts, to offer products and services as well as to strengthen the customer-relationship, which may include analyses for marketing and direct marketing purposes.


Your consent to data processing may also constitute a permission requirement under data protection law. In this case, we will inform you in advance about the purposes of the data processing and about your right of revocation. Should your consent also affect special categories of personal data, we will expressly inform you hereon.

Obligation to provide data

Several personal data is required to initiate, execute and terminate contractual relationships and/or to comply with contractual and legal obligations related hereto. The same applies to the use of our websites and their functions.

 

In certain cases, data is required to be processed for legal reasons. Please note, that it may not be possible to answer your request or to execute a contract if certain data is not provided.

Automated decisions

We currently do not use any fully automated processing to file any decision with legal effect on data subjects.

Categories, sources and origin of data

The context determines which data we process: this depends on whether, for example, you enter a general inquiry in our contact form, send us an application or make an inquiry about our services. Please note that we may also provide information separately in a suitable place for special processing situations, e.g. when uploading application documents.

 

When you visit our website, we may process the following data:

  • Information on the referrer-URL (the website, you are visiting us from)
  • The IP-address you were attached by your Internet Service Provider
  • Data requested, amount of data transferred, downloads, exported data
  • Information on the context visited on our pages (including date and time)

For reasons of technical security (especially to defend against attack-attempts), this data is stored in accordance with Art. 6 I 1 f GDPR. After seven days latest, anonymization is executed by shortening the IP-address which does not allow for a link to the single user. Concerning advertising measures, we may process the following data:
 

Address- and contact data, depending on the campaign respectively the communication channel (Postal letters, E-Mail, etc.). Please consider our separate information on ads below.

When you decide to participate in an online seminar:

 

  • Name, Surname
  • E-mail-address

Upon signing up for our online seminars, you will be sent a link which you need to follow to participate. Our online seminars are realized with a partner, who may apply his own privacy policy in addition. Such privacy policy may be accessed through the online-seminar-portal itself. We have concluded the required data protection contracts with our partner for compliance with the GDPR. When signing up for an online seminar, you may also decide to opt-in to our newsletter. We allow to refer to the according section of our privacy policy in this regard.

 

In the context of whitepaper marketing:  

 

On our website, we offer the opportunity to receive services such as access to whitepapers. We offer these services directly via our website and via our company profile on LinkedIn. We may process the following data as part of such a whitepaper campaign: Name, e-mail address. In the case of a request via our website, the data is collected directly from you; in the case of a request via LinkedIn, we receive the data via LinkedIn. Data recipients / categories of data recipients

Within our company we ensure that only persons requiring data to fulfil their contractual obligations are provided data for this purpose. Where data is transferred within our group of companies, such is executed in consideration of the applicable law, which does also apply for international data transfer.

 

In addition, our corporate departments are supported by external suppliers. Every supplier processing personal data (customers, employees, applicants) on our behalf, is bound by the required data protection contractual framework.

Transfer of data to third countries / intent to transfer data to third countries

A transfer of data to third countries (outside the European Union respectively the European Economic Area) is executed only if such is required for reasons of a contractual obligation, legally mandatory or in case you have provided you explicit consent. 

 

Personal data is transferred as well to external suppliers as well as to further group companies, which may be located outside the EU, e.g. in the US, Brazil, India or China. A summary on the Leadec-locations is available on our website.

 

Compliance with the level of data protection is primarily ensured by an appropriate contractual framework under data protection law, e.g. EU standard contractual clauses.

Transfer of data to third entities

Your data will be transferred to third parties if legally permissible or upon consent declared. In further cases, a transfer of personal data to third parties is executed only, if we are obliged to do so by compulsory law (Transfer to external entities as e.g. data protection supervisory authorities or instances of criminal prosecution).

Retention of personal data

Your data is stored as long as required for the underlying processing purpose. Please note, that several retention obligations require us to store data even longer. That does especially mean commercial or taxational retention obligations (e.g. tax and commercial legislation).

 

If no further no further retention obligation exists, data is deleted when the processing purpose is achieved. Beyond this, a longer retention is executed only if you declared your consent or if we need to do so for litigation purposes. Please do also consider legally defined limitation periods which may last for up to thirty years, where the general limitation period is three years.

Secure transfer of data

To protect the data we process best against incidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or unauthorized access, we have implemented according technical and organizational security measures. Together with security experts, the security levels are subject to continuous monitoring and adjustment.

 

Data transfer to and from our website is encrypted each. As a transfer protocol, https is used for our website, where the current encryption protocols are used. Additionally, we are offering our users encrypted transfer options concerning our contact forms and job applications. Additionally, you may use further communication channels (such as e.g. by post).

Advertising & Existing Customers (Art. 6 I 1 f GDPR)

Leadec is interested in maintain our customer relationship with you and to provide you information and offers concerning our products, services, activities, events and company news. Therefore, we are processing your data to the permissible extent, for sending you according information and offers.

 

If you should not wish to be addressed by such content, you are entitled to contradict the processing of your personal data for purposes of direct marketing; Such would also apply for a profiling, if such would be related to direct marketing. Should you declare to contradict as before, we will no longer use your data for the according purposes.

Contact form / general inquiries (art. 6 I 1 b, f GDPR)

Our website offers a contact form, which may be used to contact us electronically. Should you launch an inquiry via the contact form, we will process the data you enter into the contact form to contact you concerning your inquiry.

 

The principle of data minimization is complied with, as you are required to enter only the data objectively required to contacting you. Such is your name, email-address as well as your message.

 

In addition, your IP-Address is processed for reasons of technical requirement and legal protection. Any further data may be provided on a voluntary basis and optionally (e.g. to reply more individually to your request).

 

Should you turn to us by email, we will process the data you submit this way solely for the purpose and term of replying to your inquiry. Should you not make use of the contact forms offered, no further processing is executed.

Web-to-Lead Contact Form (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b EU-DS-GVO)

On our website you will find our web-to-lead contact form, which can be used to contact us electronically. If you write to us via the contact form, we will process the data you provide in the contact form to contact you and answer your questions and requests. In order to be able to answer your questions in a more individualized manner, further information about you and your request is necessary here: 


- Personal information (title, first name, last name) for the purpose of personal address.
- Location (country, city/region) is required in order to assign the inquiry to the corresponding regional sales units so that a contact person in your vicinity can get in touch with you about your request.
- Business information (company, position, department) is used to determine from which company and from which professional interest the inquiry comes, so that industry-specific aspects can also be taken into account in the response, for example.
- Contact options (e-mail, telephone) for the purpose of establishing contact; depending on the complexity of the inquiry, it may also be necessary to contact us by telephone
- Interest/request (interest in; message), so that you can inform us of your request.


In addition, your IP address is processed for technical necessity as well as for legal protection. All other data are voluntary fields and can be provided optionally (e.g. to answer your questions more individually).


If you contact us via this contact form, we will first ask you for your consent within the scope of the double opt-in that your data is also stored for a longer period of time for the purpose of processing the inquiries.


In order to protect the security and confidentiality of your data as best as possible, we implement appropriate security measures. Your request will be transmitted to us in encrypted form.
If you withdraw your consent, we will of course anonymize your personal data immediately. If there has been no contact with you for a longer period of time, your data will be anonymized after 500 days.

Newsletter (Art. 6 I 1 a, f GDPR)

If you should not already receive our newsletter as an existing customer, you may subscribe to our free newsletter on our website. The email-address entered upon registration as well as your name and surname will be processed for sending you our personal newsletter.

 

The principle of data minimization is complied with, as solely your email-address, name and surname are marked as mandatory information.

 

Concerning the subscription to our newsletter, we are basically making use of the so called double-opt-in-process. This process safeguards that you will regularly receive our newsletter solely upon having expressly declared your interest in receiving the newsletter. Such is realized as you are sent a notification-message, which contains a link you may click to declare your will in receiving our newsletter to the mailbox the notification-message was sent to.

 

Your subscription may, of course, be terminated anytime by using the unsubscribe-option embedded to each single newsletter. This, at the same time, means that you revoke your consent into receiving our advertising mailings with effect for the future. The operator of this website uses services provided by the etracker GmbH of Hamburg, Germany (www.etracker.com) to analyze usage data. For this purpose, cookies are used which enable for a statistical evaluation of the user´s interaction with the website. Cookies are small text files, which are placed on the user´s device. etracker-cookies do not contain information which would allow to identify the single user.

Google Ads Conversion

This website uses the online marketing program Google Ads of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Out of the scope of Google Ads, we are using the so-called conversion tracking. The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent, Art. 6 I 1 a GDPR.

 

Whenever you are klicking a Google-placed ad, a cookie for conversion tracking is placed. These ads are delivered by Google through so called “ad servers”. Cookies are small text files, the internet browser places on the user´s device. These Cookies are becoming invalid after 30 days and do not provide for a personal user-identification. We are using the remarketing functions offered by Google Ads.
